Hospital Cover
Avoid a 30% co-payment by using a hospital on the applicable network. Procedure co-payments per event apply: R2 020 (e.g. Colonoscopy), R5 130 (e.g. Arthroscopy), R9 500 (e.g. Nissen Fundoplication). Avoid a R8 400 co-payment for Cataract Surgery by using the DSP. Avoid a R7 100 co-payment for day surgery procedures by using a network day hospital. A R2 240 co-payment applies per MRI or CT scan, except for PMBs.
Chronic Cover
Plan highlights
- Uses a list of specific private hospitals and linked formulary of chronic medication.
- You only pay for a maximum of three children.
- If you use all your savings for the year, your family will still get 1 GP consultation paid at the Bonitas Rate.
- Unlimited for PMBs for cancer treatment.
- R224 100 per family for non-PMB cancer treatment.
- Up to R1.2 million cover per family for medical emergencies when you travel outside South Africa.
